Many of these items are controlled in groups under a centralized schedule of inspections and governed through a Building Automation System (BAS) in tandem with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). In a similar way, Janitorial programs take into account all of the rooms and equipment that building occupants come into contact with on a regular basis, from restrooms to kitchens, cafeterias, lobbies, stairways, and so on – essentially, if it’s walked on, touched, or used in relation to a bodily function, the Janitorial program must make sure everything remains clean, sanitary, and safe to use during all working hours.
